How to draw LANTERN
This tangle pattern is from Donna Blair and it's her first on the site.
"I was stuck on hold on the phone and picked up a pen and paper and this developed. As I was practicing it and trying to think of a name, my friend asked if I was making lanterns. So, that's why I named it Lantern."
I used Donna's "attached rows" version of Lantern and I've shown my example "sideways" – because there's no up or down to tangles. There are a lot of ways you can vary this tangle, I also tried it on a much smaller scale it works well that way too.
Here are Donna's steps for drawing Lantern and she also demonstrates a few variations. (Yes, the basic pattern is complete in 3 steps.)
